THE IMPACT OF I.T. IN LIFE

    ACTIVITY 1.2. – REFLECTION  


    Looking back on how information technology has impacted my life, I'm amazed at its presence.  From the time I wake up, reading emails and messages on my phone, to the time I go to bed, watching a movie or chatting with friends online, technology is woven into the fabric of my daily life. The power to be able to touch base with loved ones anywhere in the world, no matter the distance, is a deep advantage.  I can exchange experiences, provide encouragement, and have intimate relationships in a manner that was previously unimaginable only a generation before. The ability to gain access to information has also been revolutionary; working research on projects or for work is now an efficient process, and I am able to easily acquire new skills with online tutorials and courses.  Having such open access to knowledge all the time has opened my eyes and helped me to be able to work on my own interests better.


    Aside from the access to information and personal relationships, IT has enhanced my productivity and efficiency exponentially. Collaboration software online enables me to work smoothly with others on projects irrespective of our locations.  Booking appointments, handling money matters, and doing daily tasks are all made easy through several apps and software.  Technology has provided the convenience and quickness that have liberated time and mental energy which I can now devote to other activities. Although I am aware of the possible negative aspects of too much screen time and the digital divide, the general effect on my everyday life has been very positive.  My work is better organized, my education is more convenient, and my social network is more secure due to the development of IT.


    In the future, I expect technology to have an ever greater influence on my life. While I'm aware of the ethical concerns and possible risks, I'm also thrilled with the possibilities.  The continued advancement of AI, the growth of virtual and augmented reality, and the ongoing embedment of technology into every sector of society vow to bring even more profound changes in the near future. I'm committed to harnessing the power of technology responsibly, using it to enhance my life and contribute to a more connected and informed world.
