Activity 6.2 – REFLECTION

I bet you have made at least one multimedia project at this point. Kindly describe your project by answering the following questions:

• What were the components you used?

Back then, we made a short advertisement about being ourselves in our course, CUTS. As the editor, I used various components, such as high-quality videos and photos taken from our school, with my classmates as the featured characters. I incorporated subtitles in the video and sweet, mellow music accompaniment. I also narrated the whole video explaining how we can be ourselves.

• How did you acquire it?

The images and video clips were acquired through our video recordings. The audio narration was created using text-to-speech technology, and the audio used in the film was licensed, ensuring I had the legal right to use them.

Did you use others’ work?

Yes, absolutely. The images, video clips, and possibly even some of the audio elements (like background music) were sourced from external providers.

• Did you do any of the legal ways in using other’s content? How?

Yes, I adhered strictly to copyright laws. This includes:

Licensing: I purchased licenses for all images and video clips from reputable stock media providers, ensuring I have the right to use them in my project. The licenses would specify the permitted uses and any restrictions.

Attribution: Where appropriate, I credited the original creators of the images and video clips, following the guidelines provided by the licensing agreements.

Fair Use: I was mindful of the principles of fair use, ensuring that my use of any copyrighted material was transformative and didn't infringe on the rights of the copyright holders.
